About university : The Karnataka Lingayat Education Society or KLE Society, it was declared as a deemed to be University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. It was established on 13th April, 2006 as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Notification No.F.9-19/2000-U-R(A) dated 13th April, 2006, under the recommendation of University Grants Commission.
